Gardens of the Moon Audiobook Streaming Online & Download Free
Gardens of the Moon Audiobook is the first of ten audiobooks in Canadian author Steven Erikson’s high fantasy series the Malazan Book of the Fallen. It’s confusing, it’s complicated, it’s full of mysteries and myriad of characters and magic that you can easily become overwhelmed.
Conceived and written on a panoramic scale, Gardens of the Moon is an epic fantasy of the highest order – an enthralling adventure by an outstanding new voice.
The Malazan Empire simmers with discontent, bled dry by interminable warfare, bitter infighting and bloody confrontations with the formidable Anomander Rake and his Tiste Andii, ancient and implacable sorcerers.
Even the imperial legions, long inured to the bloodshed, yearn for some respite. Yet Empress Laseen’s rule remains absolute, enforced by her dread Claw assassins.
For Sergeant Whiskeyjack and his squad of Bridgeburners, and for Tattersail, surviving cadre mage of the Second Legion, the aftermath of the siege of Pale should have been a time to mourn the many dead.
But Darujhistan, last of the Free Cities of Genabackis, yet holds out. It is to this ancient citadel that Laseen turns her predatory gaze.
However, it would appear that the Empire is not alone in this great game. Sinister, shadow-bound forces are gathering as the gods themselves prepare to play their hand…

Gardens of the Moon Audiobook mp3 has a mix of great elements such as mage assassins making it an entertaining listen. Upon opening the book, you’ll immediately encounter a huge amount of characters in the dramatic personae. This should be able to give you an idea of how big the scale of the book will be.
Even though there is free flow use of magic, the author manages to maintain the intrigue of such things while combining it with great character development. Characters are very well fleshed out, and the combination of interesting skill sets makes the plot lines very interesting.
The world was rich. There were histories upon histories, incorporating beings of immense power. I felt that Erikson did a fantastic job at portraying the various power levels of individuals, explaining their weaknesses and still making you fell in complete awe at the creatures and beings that call this world their home.
This audiobook maybe not be for everyone, but it most certainly is for you.
The narrator was fantastic. Ralph Lister’s cadence and delivery make for a very easy listen, and his ability to establish different and distinct voices for the characters throughout the book is superb. He pronounces a lot of the vocabulary of the world a little differently than I have in the past, but I wasn’t too put out by that.
The only real problem I had with Mr. Lister’s narration was that a few of the voices he gave to the characters were nothing like I had imagined them when I read the books myself.
