Cujo Audiobook Overview (read by Lorna Raver)
The number-one national bestseller for Stephen King’s rabid fans, Cujo Audiobook “hits the jugular” (The New York Times) with the story of a friendly Saint Bernard that is bitten by a sick bat. Get ready to meet the most hideous menace ever to savage the flesh and devour the mind.
This psychological horror story won the British Fantasy Award in 1982 and was made into a film in 1983.
Plot Summary
Once upon a time, not so long ago, a monster came to the small town of Castle Rock, Maine… He was not a werewolf, a vampire, a ghoul, or an unnameable creature from the enchanted forest or snow wastes; he was only a cop…
Cujo is a huge Saint Bernard dog, the best friend Brett Camber has ever had. Then one day Cujo chases a rabbit into a bolt-hole. Except it isn’t a rabbit warren any more. It is a cave inhabited by rabid bats. And Cujo falls sick. Very sick. And the gentle giant who once protected the family becomes a vortex of horror inexorably drawing in all the people around him…
Review
Pulling a story directly out of my own nightmares, Stephen King’s Cujo Audiobook Mp3 is a story about a well mannered St. Bernard that gets bitten by a Rabies Positive bat and becomes rabid himself, then terrorizes the small town of Castle Rock, Maine.
King does an eerily, amazing job of creating a fearsome creature that becomes the standard label for all aggressive, and gruesome animals to follow. I had a hard time putting the audiobook down simply because I wanted to see what would happen next, who would be the next victim and if they would live through the encounter with the rabid beast. A complete page turner, that will have the reader entirely engrossed. I definitely have no intentions of seeing the movie, the audiobook was horrid enough.
A highly recommended read (if you haven’t already listen to it) that will have to pray that Cujo Audiobook Download never finds you.
