Review
Let me go ahead and start and say I’m a big fan of Stephen King and I love his writing style. This book really personifies how he sees himself as a writer and how we are basically seeing “Horror” genre in general.
I would recommend Stephen King – Danse Macabre Audiobook Download to anyone who loves Stephen King and also anyone who is looking to get into writing scripts or anything to do with writing. The way he gets into the perception of the genre since it’s early beginnings up till pulp novels and movies and tv is fantastic.
To a younger listener many of the references of series from the 1950s and 1970s may be lost, but even in these cases, I felt King brought an intriguing personal insight that made the reading worth my time. Danse Macabre seems less like a TED Talk about the history of horror and more like a conversation in a bar. Only a conversation with a genius three times more intelligent than you and that knows the theme thirty times better than you, and is completely in love with it.
