The title of this audiobook, Mitosis, refers to an Epic who attempts to retake control of Newcago after the Reckoners have defeated Steelheart. Mitosis’s superpower is the ability to split himself into multiple beings. However, the more he splits himself, the less solid his individual parts become. They can only transfer memories by physical touch, and as the molecules grow more distant and less well bonded, the beings begin to fall apart.

Plot Summary
A story in audiobook Mitosis is that ordinary people can be heroes simply by being ordinary. The people of Newcago still live in constant fear of the Epics, even after the defeat of Steelheart and the Reckoners make a concerted effort to help the people overcome these fears and live normal lives.
Steelheart may be dead, but Epics still plague Newcago and David and the Reckoners have vowed to fight back.
David Charleston, the protagonist of the Reckoners books, discovers a critical clue as to the weaknesses of epics in this story when he finds out that Mitosis’s weakness is listening to rock music that he (Mitosis) had played in a band years before he ever became an Epic. He doesn’t know the entire significance of this clue at the time, but it later proves to be a critical piece of information for the Reckoners as he realizes that weaknesses may be tied to the epic’s past.
Why should you listen to Mitosis Audiobook right now?
Story: A fast, light and delightful short story, which fits between the first and second books of the series. It’s an interesting side story about what happens after the events of Steelheart. It also appears to be necessary or maybe a better word is helpful to bridge to the next audiobook in the trilogy.
Mitosis Audiobook mp3 was definitely on the comedy side of Sanderson and a transition from the tyranny of Steelheart to the effort of being human governed. People are still uncomfortable with the thought of the possibility of being free…
A short story, but I think well worth it, you get to spend a little more time with these fabulous characters, I think I like David and Abraham even more after this book!
Narrator: Great voice. MacLeod Andrews delivers again. Quite honestly one of the most diverse, in the sense of voices, narrators I have ever listened to. Able to spit out various different accents and sexes at the drop of a hat. There is a reason I simply search audiobooks by his name alone.
Don’t attempt listening if you have not listened to the first audiobook of The Reckoners series, but if you have, definitely a fun addition!
Author Brandon Sanderson
Brandon Sanderson was born in 1975 in Lincoln, Nebraska. By junior high he had lost interest in the novels suggested to him, and he never cracked a book if he could help it. Then an eighth-grade teacher, Mrs. Reader, gave him Dragonsbane by Barbara Hambly.
Brandon was finishing his thirteenth novel when Moshe Feder at Tor Books bought the sixth he had written. In 2005 Brandon held his first published novel, Elantris, in his hands. Tor also published six books in Brandon’s Mistborn series, along with Warbreaker and then The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance, the first two in the planned ten-volume series The Stormlight Archive. Four books in his middle-grade Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians series are being released by Starscape (Tor).
Brandon was chosen to complete Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series; the final book, A Memory of Light, was released in 2013. That year also marked the releases of YA novels The Rithmatist from Tor and Steelheart from Delacorte.
