Audiobook Review

By: Michael Connelly
Series: Harry Bosch Audiobooks, book 12
Narrated by: Len Cariou
Length: 11 hrs and 1 min

Echo Park Audiobook Download was truly my favorite of the Harry Bosch Audiobooks Series thus far. It’s excellent plotting, cracker-jack writing, the attention to details, all made this just what you’d expect in a crime novel.

This audiobook gives you a great mystery, politics, and finally someone just calling out Harry for the crap he keeps pulling when it comes to always do things his way and his whole damn the consequences thing.

Bosch continues to interest me as a character. He is a complex man, often a loose cannon, what his partner calls “the cowboy thing”, a man who appreciates art, jazz, a good book and can guzzle down a beer with the best of them.

Plot Summary

In 1993 Marie Gesto disappeared after walking out of a supermarket. Harry Bosch worked the case but couldn’t crack it, and the twenty-two-year-old was never found. Now, more than a decade later, with the Gesto file still on his desk, Bosch gets a call from the District Attorney.

A man accused of two heinous murders is willing to come clean about several others, including the killing of Marie Gesto. Taking the confession of the man he has sought-and hated-for thirteen years is bad enough. Discovering that he missed a clue back in 1993 that could have stopped nine other murders may just be the straw that breaks Harry Bosch.

Audiobook Review

I loved A Darkness More Than Night Audiobook Mp3. If you enjoy really fine detective story fiction, this is for you. Harry Bosch is a multi-dimensional character, and the author has developed him over a series of audiobooks.

First off, it is narrated mostly from Terry McCaleb’s perspective. This change in perspective did a lot to shake the slightly monotonous feeling I was getting from binge reading Harry Bosch.

Secondly, Harry Bosch comes across as the antagonist for the majority of the audiobook. This, again, helped in making the story much more interesting, especially seeing Bosch from a different perspective.

In fact, I think this might be the first story where the audiobook is actually way better than the prime video series. The video series shows us what Bosch is up to right from the beginning while the audiobook keeps this as a mystery right till the end.

Plot Summary

Terry McCaleb, a retired FBI agent, is asked by the LAPD to help them investigate a series of murders that have them baffled. They are the kind of killings McCaleb specialized in solving with the FBI, and he is reluctantly drawn from his peaceful new life back into the horror and excitement of tracking down a terrifying homicidal maniac.

McCaleb s first reading of the crime scene leads him to look for a methodical killer with a taste for rituals and revenge. As his quick look accelerates into a full-sprint investigation, the two crimes his murdered loner and Bosch s movie director begin to overlap strangely. With one unsettling revelation after another, they merge, becoming one impossible, terrifying case. McCaleb believes he has unmasked the most frightening killer ever to cross his sights. But his investigation tangles with Bosch s lines, and the two men find themselves at odds in the most dangerous investigation of their lives.

All about Harry Bosch 06 – Angels Flight Audiobook

Angels Flight Audiobook Free is the eighth audiobook by American crime author Michael Connelly, and the sixth featuring the Los Angeles detective Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch.

Audiobook Review

Angels Flight is Michael Connelly’s sixth Harry Bosch audiobooks, and like the previous ones, I couldn’t put it down. Connelly writes a tight, well-paced whodunit. The twists and turns of the investigation keep your eyes glued to the page even as your empathy for the investigator grows because of his personal crisis. You want Bosch to solve the crime and save his marriage. But can he really do both?

Connelly has his pulse on the post-Rodney King antipathy between Los Angeles’ black residents and the LAPD. This lends verisimilitude to the novel’s portrait of rogue police officers, race hustlers, and bureaucratic fixers. In the end, everyone gets what they want, though not in the way they expected. Angels Flight Audiobook Mp3 is a great read, probably the best of the first six installments in Connelly’s twenty-audiobook Bosch Audiobooks series.

Narrator

I have listened to all the Harry Bosch audiobooks so far on audio, and love the way Peter Giles portrays/narrates Harry.

Author

Michael Connelly is the #1 bestselling author of the Harry Bosch Audiobooks Free series of novels and the Mickey Haller series and legal thrillers, as well as The Poet, Blood Work, Void Moon, Chasing the Dime, and The Scarecrow. He is a former newspaper reporter who has won numerous awards for his journalism and his novels. He spends his time in California and Florida

Plot Summary

The man most hated by the LAPD – a black lawyer who has made his name by bringing lawsuits alleging racism and brutality by police officers – has been found murdered on the eve of a high-profile trial. The list of suspects includes half the police force. And Harry Bosch is the detective chosen to lead the investigation.

The political dangers of the case are huge. If it’s not investigated fairly, the public outcry could make the Rodney King riots look tame. But a full investigation will take Bosch into the ugliest corners of law enforcement.

To make matters worse, Bosch’s wife, Eleanor, has disappeared. Bosch fears she has left him – or succumbed to her gambling addiction. He’s not sure which would be worse.
