The title of the audiobook is great! “Nine Dragons” is the English meaning of “Kowloon” in Hong Kong where most of the action takes place, but another meaning comes out in the story, making it more interesting! The audio provides an education into Chinese tongs and the history of Hong Kong as well as developing the characters of Bosch and Haller and their families.

Connolly’s mastery of the genre and his lean, energetic writing render one heckuva book. He doesn’t waste time with extensive scenic descriptions and there’s not much “he said she said I said” either. Nine Dragons Audiobook Download is told in the first person by its protagonist, Detective Harry Bosch.

Despite the fact that every audiobook in the series ends cynically and with dark undercurrents for the main characters, they are fascinating and exciting. This one is no different, and will satisfy Bosch fans as well as newcomers!

I recently discovered Bosch TV series on Amazon and am eagerly waiting for Season 4. I saw this audiobook and thought I would try it. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to hearing more. Connelly is a master of misdirection in this thrilling mystery where nothing can be taken at face value.

Bosch is called out to a murder scene and the FBI quickly becomes involved when terrorists are suspected of stealing cesium to mount an attack. There are a lot of lies and backstabbing between Bosch and the FBI but Bosch ultimately solves the murder.

Engaging. Made sitting in traffic fun. Can’t wait to choose my next Bosch Audiobook!

Plot Summary

Oh, how I loved this story! I finished it in two road trip sessions and was thrilled that I had no distractions because the details mattered.

The Closers Audiobook Free is one of Connelly’s better installments in the Harry Bosch series as the writing is succinct, the plotting cohesive and the characterization unburdened by the excessive personal angst that bogs down some of the other stories.

Connelly was nimble in his writing, not wasting many words in character development, clues and descriptions. The mystery was challenging and hooked me from the beginning. While my initial guess was right, I abandoned it for more compelling suppositions. The ending was so delicious and I NEVER saw one aspect of it coming but it was brilliant. Len Cariou’s narration was pitch perfect. Can you tell I loved this book?

Here’s hoping Bosch continues to have a future with the LAPD, especially in this new unit under competent leadership for a change and with a great partner.

A new police chief has been brought in from New York to give the place a thorough clean up from top to bottom. I had to go back and listen to the first ever Harry Bosch audiobook, and I’m glad I did. Writers have a lot of energy when they first write a character; they have that twinkle in the eye, just like in a new romance.

Harry Bosch 10 – The Narrows starts out with a dark plot. Typically Connelly adds a lot of details about the characters and setting that help to make the dark plot background more palatable. This keeps the reader interested in the characters and an interesting setting as the plot develops.

There are so many surprising twists and turns in the plot. It’s hard to put the book down as you care more about the characters and the resolution; so you want to keep reading.

There is no way I could have predicted the ending. It surprises and provides great suspense until the end. The author has created a gripping story with an amazing ending.

Lost Light is the thirteenth audiobook written by Michael Connelly and the ninth audiobook featuring Los Angeles Police Department detective Harry Bosch, as well as being the first Bosch novel to be narrated in the first-person. The textbook was published on 1 April 2003.

According to a July 2004 interview, Connelly originally intended for the title of Lost Light to be Dark Sacred Night, borrowing the lyric from the 1968 Louis Armstrong song, “What a Wonderful World.”

Getting into Bosch’s head is well worth your time, and Connelly still keeps up his run of quality works. The ending of the novel is a surprise, but works with Connelly’s theme of balancing the light and darkness of his mission, and the last third of the book is absolutely riveting.

I enjoyed seeing Bosch working without his badge, overcoming the added obstacle of not having any official business looking into this case. While he may not be a cop, we still did get cameos by many of the series regulars, and it was great to check in with them. The characters are strong as always, with Bosch leading the pack.

I was surprised to find that Harry Bosch 09 – Lost Light Audiobook Online Streaming was narrated first person, something I always enjoy. I hadn’t run across that in a Harry Bosch book yet. The case itself was gripping with plenty of twists and turns to keep us engaged up until the end. I listened to the audio version narrated by Len Cariou, who does a great job except for one character. Fortunately, that character isn’t a major player in the action of the book.

Plot Summary

Only the money was real. Four years ago, LAPD detective Harry Bosch was on a movie set, asking questions about the murder of a young production assistant, when an armored car arrived with $2 million cash for use in a heist scene. In a life-imitates-art firestorm, a gang of masked men converged on the delivery and robbed the armored car with guns blazing.
