Reading Up a Storm Audiobook free by Eva Gates

What’s Reading Up a Storm Audiobook?

Reading Up A Storm Audiobook is the third story in the Lighthouse Library Mysteries Audiobook series by Eva Gates. I found this audiobook to be absolutely delightful. I’ve enjoyed the series since its creation and this book was no exception.

What could be better than a library? A library in a lighthouse! And what could be better than that? The writing of Eva Gate telling the story of said lighthouse library! This was a fantastic, interesting and well-written book set in my favorite place, A lighthouse, A storm, A murder and a mystery to solve.

Plot Summary

Misfortune blows into North Carolina’s Outer Banks when a dead body in a boat on the shore leaves local librarian Lucy Richardson racing to solve a strange new mystery…

After a successful party at Bodie Island’s Lighthouse Library, librarian Lucy Richardson is ready to curl up with her cat, Charles, and a good book. But her R and R is cut short when she notices some mysterious lights leading a small boat to crash into the coast.

The two shipwrecked seafarers survive the ordeal – but one of them shows up dead ashore a few days later. Lucy finds herself again roped into a murder investigation and navigating a sea of suspects, all of whom had motives to deep-six the deceased. And this time, she has a sinking feeling that finding the real killer won’t be so easy…

Why should you listen to Reading Up a Storm Audiobook Free right now?

Story: I found myself captivated by the story and even as it unfolded I was amazed at the twists and turns the mystery took, who the killer was, was not even on my radar until the very end.

Lucy is a wonderful character. As she’s done in the other books, Lucy takes it upon herself to help solve the murder. She may come from money but she doesn’t act like it or flaunt her family’s riches. She’s pretty down-to-earth and likable. I enjoy her interactions with the mayor, the police, her fellow librarians, and the citizens that have been created in the author’s Outer Banks world. They are all one-of-a-kind.

The developments in Reading Up a Storm Audiobook Mp3 bring outsiders into the area and another murder mystery unfolds. The author masks the suspect, bringing in several characters, newcomers and long-time residents, who have the right motive to have committed the crime.

I hope Lighthouse Library Mystery becomes more than just a trilogy as I felt like I was only just getting reacquainted with my old friends as the story comes to a close.

Narrator:

Elise Arsenault did a good job but her voice was not a good fit for the characters or the location. At times the narrator was dull and seemed uninterested in the story which was the good news.
