Plot Summary

The Blood Mirror Audiobook keeps up the pressure in no uncertain ways. It still continues to develop the magic system of forming light into solid shapes or burning gels or even just increasing intelligence, but it dives deeper into soul-casting and will-casting as well.

Brent Weeks has done a great job of slowly revealing facts about each character’s past that makes you rethink your views of the character as well as the likely outcome of the overall story arc. His characterization grows ever deeper. His settings more fully realized. The magic is more strange and creative. You’ll love it.

As always this audiobook made me smile and had me stunned at various points through the plot and I loved that.

Narrator:

About the narration, Simon Vance does another excellent job and the combination of Weeks’ writing with Vance’s narration leads to an awesome listening experience. Sometimes, he reads occasionally a bit too fast which makes the understanding sometimes more challenging.

I hope Simon Vance continues to narrate the rest of the series.
