Audiobook Overview
The Siren Audiobook is the second book in The Soul Summoner series by Elicia Hyder. This wasn’t as good as the first audiobook, but it was still good. I liked it. I like the continued discovery of Sloan’s abilities. We find out who her mother is. And again some great characters, as well as a couple of sad moments.
Plot Summary
All the missing victims of North Carolina’s deadliest serial killer have been found, all except Rachel Smith. When the FBI produces a photo proving Rachel is alive and well in Texas, one case is closed but another one is opened. Either this is a case of mistaken identity, or there are more people than just Sloan Jordan and Warren Parish who seem to walk the earth without a soul.
Along with Detective Nathan McNamara, Sloan and Warren travel south to find Rachel and solve the biggest mystery of all: determining who – or what – they really are.
Just to be clear: the plot of this story is wrapped up by the end of the book. However, a bit of information is revealed at the end so the listener knows another book is coming.
About the Author
Elicia Hyder is an American author who admits that she used to be a bit of an accident. Her mother and father had birthed their last baby eleven years prior to Elicia coming around. The title given to her was once supposed to set her aside as a blessing however the creator is aware of she used to be a high-quality accident.
She is the author of The Soul Summoner series, the Journey Durant novels, and her new roller derby series, The Music City Rollers. Elicia enjoys barefoot walks on the beach, the proper use of the semicolon, and good IPAs. She sucks at CAPTCHA puzzles and firmly believes heaven will have heavy metal music.
Elicia used to be fortunate due to the fact she had plenty of intelligence. She continually excelled academically. However, that intelligence couldn’t extinguish her wild spirit. No one was surprised when she discarded her research in favor of residing in a tent in the countrywide forest with her dogs.
Elicia was once down for a long time however she determined the braveness to turn her lifestyles around. The authors big destroy got here in the 1990s. Elicia Hyder used to be in rehab. She met a prophet there who advised her that she would write a book one day.
That specific word gave Elicia an aim for which she ought to aim. And the fact that she eventually grew to be a celebrated writer with multiple books under her belt gave Elicia renewed belief in the prophetic word.

Story:
I just couldn’t put this audiobook down. I love The Siren Audiobook Mp3 just when you think you know how this story will go it pleasantly surprised and keeps you on the edge of ur seat and keyed in to find out what happens next.
The story flowed very nicely and is well written. This audiobook is also written in the first person but is delightfully not full of random blah blah blah thoughts YAY. The chemistry between Sloan and Warren is realistic and believable.
Character:
Sloan Jordan: No words can even describe how much I love her! She’s sassy, sweet, and all-around neat. As a girl who understands the longing to find her birth parents, I can certainly relate that aspect of this book! One thing I will say, without spoiling, is people are not always who they seem to be. There’s a whole lot going on beneath the surface, and Sloan will do well to remember that!
Warren Parish: One word: HOT. What’s sexier than a military man with washboard abs, an enigmatic aura, and dry wit who uses his “gift” to exact justice?! Okay… I don’t really condone murder to solve problems, even in the way he’s used it necessarily, but as a last resort to stop some really effed up people, I guess I’d let it pass. (And besides, he’s kind of the protagonist, so like. I gotta deal with it anyway. It’s a gray area for some lawyers in the crowd.) BUT, the man is totally amazing and I love that he’s so patient with Sloan.
Nathan McNamara: Two words: Dammit Elicia! Why the hell do you have to do this to me? Nate’s just as lovable as Warren and he cares just as much for Sloan too! There’s just one itsy-bitsy issue: he’s already got a girlfriend – in the form of Sloan’s “nemesis.” The bro is playing a dangerous game here: two women, three hearts, who’s will be broken in the end.
Narrator:
As far as the narration, it is fantastic! Love Brittany Pressley! She has such an amazing voice, she reads with emotion and the men sound like men. She reads with emotion as called for. She is one of my favorite narrators!
I do recommend this series and especially this narrator.
