About Star Wars: Dark Lords Of The Sith Audiobook

Dark Lords Of The Sith Audiobook is the second audiobook in the Star Wars – Tales of the Jedi Audiobook series, written by Kevin J. Anderson. The story is set in the Star Wars galaxy 3,997 BBY years before the Battle of Yavin in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and takes the listener to the Old Republic, thousands of years before the events of The Phantom Menace.

In Dark Lords Of The Sith Audiobook, we are introduced to Exar Kun, a Jedi whose fascination with the ancient Sith teachings is leading him towards the dark-side. Also, with the ascension of a pair of Sith magicians to the throne of The Empress Teta system, the Republic is moving towards war. Ulic Qel-Droma thinks that he can destroy the menace single-handed, and avoid a bloody showdown between the Sith and the Republic, but what will be the cost?

Dark Lords Of The Sith Audiobook also details how the Jedi, led by Ulic Qel-Droma and Nomi Sunrider attempt to free the Empress Teta System from the tyrannical control of evil Dark Side adepts Satal and Aleema. It also details Exar Kun’s fall to the Dark Side at the seduction of the spirit of Freedon Nadd, becoming Dark Lord of the Sith with Ulic as his apprentice.

Why should you listen to Star Wars: Dark Lords Of The Sith Audiobook?

This audiobook is filled with exciting adventures, and action-packed scenes, this is a must read in the star wars universe. The writing, while not great, is steady and constant. The story is pretty good, especially for one that mishmashes as much as this does. They do form an interesting parallel nonetheless, one enhanced by Gosset’s artwork.

As I said, this is probably the strongest of the Tales of the Jedi Audiobook series. Its storyline is the best defined by far, and Gosset’s art is very effective. The follow-up is a bit disappointing, as is the rest of the series in my opinion. Still, its a nice history lesson and a view into the ancient Jedi. Recommended.

About Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi Audiobook

Tales of the Jedi Audiobook is a series of comic books that published by Dark Horse Comics between 1993 and 1998. They are part of the fictional Star Wars expanded universe, and cover the Great Sith War and the Great Hyperspace War. The series represented the earliest chronological Star Wars Audiobook stories until the publication of the Dawn of the Jedi Audiobook series of comics and novels.

This is Tales of the Jedi Audiobook (Dramatized version). It  is a pretty enjoyable little Audio Drama but maybe not the best audiobook to start with because there was so many characters to keep track but it was really fun. I enjoyed how much different voices we had and the effects & soundtrack are amazing. I really think it’s better to listen to this one than reading because of STAR WARS SOUNDTRACK!

Whisked Away by Words: The Hobbit Audiobook Online Streaming Review

In an age where the ephemeral glow of digital screens tends to dim the magic of storytelling, The Hobbit Audiobook emerges as a timeless beacon, inviting us on a journey where the meandering paths of fantasy not only lead to external adventures but also to the inner landscapes of courage, friendship, and the joy of the unexpected. It’s as if J.R.R. Tolkien, through his tale set in the lush, perilous wilds of Middle-earth, seeks to remind us of the quaint charm of sitting by a fireside, enraptured by tales of yore. Yet, this audiobook does more; it transforms these seating sessions into an adventure in their own right, thanks to the masterful narration of Rob Inglis.

Embarking on this sonic expedition, I found myself not merely a listener but a fellow traveler alongside Bilbo Baggins, our unlikely hero with his unassuming love for the comforts of home. The Hobbit transports us from the cozy confines of The Shire into a world teeming with the wild and the whimsical. Dwarves, dragons, and unforeseen dangers beckon, each twist in Bilbo’s adventure as vividly portrayed in Inglis’s narration as they are in Tolkien’s writing. The detailed world-building of Tolkien – from the meticulously crafted languages to the richly imagined geographies – gains even more depth through the sonorous timbre of Inglis’s voice, every character distinct, every song a charm.

Rob Inglis is not just a narrator; he’s a shape-shifter. His ability to give voice to a multitude of characters, to imbue them with life, is astonishing. The dwarves, with their rough camaraderie; the sly, riddling Gollum; and the haughty yet majestic Smaug – all are brought to life in a performance that does more than justice to Tolkien’s intricate creation. But it’s not merely about the diversity of voices; it’s about the emotion, the pacing, and the clear love for the tale that Inglis brings, which makes The Hobbit Audiobook not just heard, but felt.

As a former author turned blogger with a penchant for the mysteries of the cosmos and the enigmas of science fiction, I found The Hobbit’s fusion of fantasy with deep, underlying themes a resonant echo of the human spirit’s perennial quest for adventure and understanding. The narratives of courage, growth, and the discovery of strength in the most unlikely places found a particular chord within me, reminding me that sometimes, the greatest journeys are those that take us back home, transformed.

And yet, for all its grandeur and depth, The Hobbit Audiobook remains an accessible treasure trove, a doorway into a meticulously crafted universe that continues to fascinate and inspire. It’s a testament to Tolkien’s genius that his world of Middle-earth feels as real and as immersive in audio form as it does on the printed page; perhaps even more so, as Inglis’s narration wraps the listener in a cloak of storytelling magic, turning a lone journey into a shared adventure.

With The Hobbit Audiobook available for online streaming, it finds a new, ever-welcoming hearth in the homes and hearts of those who, in moments of quiet reflection or amidst the rush of everyday life, yearn for a tale that promises not just an escape but a return to the essence of adventure and imagination. Available for free download at Audiobooks4soul.com, it invites listeners to set sail on a journey that promises to be as enriching as it is entertaining.

As I pen these lines, the echoes of Middle-earth linger in my mind, an inviting chorus to explore further, to listen deeper. The world of Tolkien, with its intricate lore and timeless appeal, awaits, and with it, countless other storyscapes to delve into. To those who, like me, seek to venture again into the realms of fantasy and wonder: Happy listening.
