The Tower of the Shallow Audiobook
The tower of shallow is the audio adaptation of the fourth audiobook in the Witcher series. It is the second last audiobook and has a lot going on simultaneously. Since all of the Witcher series audiobooks are inter-linked, it is recommended to go through the previous ones before moving on to this one.
Here is a review of the audiobook written by the Polish genius Andrzej Sapowski and narrated by Peter Kenny.
Plot Summary
Ciri is still on the run. The Northerners are still after her life. An old philosopher finds Ciri near his swamp, badly injured. He rescues her and takes care of her in the coming weeks so she can recover. While she is there, she keeps thinking about the things she had been through, and how she had separated from “the rats.”
Ciri who has been on the run for a long time now has been going by the name Falka. She hides her true identity as a princess and as a witcher. A girl claiming to be Ciri has taken over the throne in Cintra. Ciri initially wants to go back and claim what is rightfully hers, and unveil the imposter. But she instead decides to reunite with the rats to help them out.
Bonhart, who is a bounty hunter has been after “the rats” for a while, and he manages to kill them before Ciri can do anything to help them. She witnesses their deaths and in rage tries to fight Bonhart. He is too strong for her and takes her captive instead with the intent of uncovering her true identity and being rewarded for it. He puts her in an arena where she has to fight against monsters. She is forced to show her true identity of a witcher in order to save her life.
On the other side, Geralt of Rivia is making alliances and teaming up to rescue Ciri. Both sides of the war are after her, and she is trying her best to survive with bounty hunters at her tail.
Audiobook Review
The Tower of the Swallow Audiobook free is a fantastic piece of writing, but it has to be said that it is a little confusing. I believe that this book is sort of a filler, only written to make sense of everything that has been happening and to bring the events together. It basically sets the stage for the next and final novel to tie up all the loose ends.
All storylines progress in an even manner. The character development throughout the series and especially this book is worth mentioning. Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, all develop very maturely throughout the book.
The Tower of the Swallow gets a little confusing sometimes because so much is happening simultaneously, but it all ties up beautifully in the next book. So you will just have to power through this one. The narration done by Peter Kenny is like the cherry on top. It will surely make the audiobook a lovely experience.

Peter Kenny is an English narrator who has won many awards. He has done a spectacular job in all the Witcher books. His performance in The Tower of the Swallow Audiobook mp3 is brilliant too.
