How many different werewolves can you cram into one story? In Fool Moon Audiobook Free, the second in Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files Audiobook series, he shoots for the, well, moon. Harry Dresden is back again, and this time the fur is flying.
Let’s get this out of the way right from the start—Fool Moon is, by many accounts, the worst of the Dresden books. Its plot is muddy, there are large portions of exposition thrown at the reader, and it tries to cram every kind of werewolf into its pages. But it has its shining moments, and it begins to set up storylines that will later become great.
Plot Summary
Lost Items Found. Paranormal Investigations. Consulting. Advice. Reasonable Rates. No Love Potions, Endless Purses, or Other Entertainment.
Business has been slow. Okay, business has been dead. And not even of the undead variety. You would think Chicago would have a little more action for the only professional wizard in the phone book. But lately, Harry Dresden hasn’t been able to dredge up any kind of work–magical or mundane.
But just when it looks like he can’t afford his next meal, a murder comes along that requires his particular brand of supernatural expertise.
A brutally mutilated corpse. Strange-looking paw prints. A full moon. Take three guesses -and the first two don’t count…
Fool Moon Audiobook Review
Story
Fool Moon Audiobook does suffer from a fair amount of issues ranging from redundancy to poor characterization, but this does mean that it is all bad. If you are looking for a fun and entertaining weekend read, you honestly cannot do much better. Just be warned that if you have also read Storm Front, you might experience a bit of déjà vu.
The Narration
James Marsters continues to make an excellent Harry Dresden. He does a really great job of getting Harry’s emotions (an his occasional nausea) across to the listeners. His gravelly, tense voices (both male and female) for the werewolves were great. I love Bob’s proper accent and Gentleman John Marcone’s stiff replies to Harry’s snark.
Lost Items Found. Paranormal Investigations. Consulting. Advice. Reasonable Rates. No Love Potions, Endless Purses, or Other Entertainment.

Storm Front Audiobook’s Story
Take your standard noir detective with a sarcastic frame of mind and a weakness for helping damsels in distress, add in wizardry, vampires, werewolves, talking skulls, pizza loving fairies and all things paranormal and this is what you get. A quirky, fast paced and thrilling ride through a Chicago you never thought possible. Trying only to pay the rent, when the police are stumped on a case Harry helps out, while also trying to find a missing husband. Things soon get complicated when it becomes obvious there’s black magic afoot – and the council of wizards suspect Harry. Already under the Doom of Damocles, a form of wizardly probation for past transgressions, Harry has to risk execution to discover who the Shadowman is – and why he’s killing people.
This is a superb debut – and only the first of many. Great characters, a mystery that twists and turns like a corkscrew and above all, Harry, a wizard with a world weary sense of humour, who takes life on the chin.
The Narration
James Marsters makes a great Harry Dresden. He’s got the beaten down PI voice, with a little gravel in it. I also love his uppity voice for Bob. His female character voices are believable and each one is distinct from the next.

The number-one New York Times best-selling author returns to the world of Mistborn with the follow-up to Shadows of Self.
With The Alloy of Law and Shadows of Self, Brandon Sanderson surprised his audience with a New York Times best-selling spin-off of his Mistborn audiobooks, set after the action of the trilogy, in a period corresponding to late 19th-century America. Now, with The Bands of Mourning, Sanderson continues the story.
Introduce
The Bands of Mourning, the sixth audiobook in the Mistborn series, was released on January 26, 2016. It is the sequel to The Alloy of Law and Shadows of Self. Its sequel has been tentatively titled The Lost Metal.
Plot
Three hundred years after the events of the Mistborn trilogy, Scadrial is now on the verge of modernity, with railroads to supplement the canals, electric lighting in the streets and the homes of the wealthy, and the first steel-framed skyscrapers racing for the clouds.
The Bands of Mourning are the mythical metal minds owned by the Lord Ruler, said to grant anyone who wears them the powers that the Lord Ruler had at his command. Hardly anyone thinks they really exist. A kandra researcher has returned to Elendel with images that seem to depict the Bands, as well as writings in a language that no one can read. Waxillium Ladrian is recruited to travel south to the city of New Seran to investigate. Along the way he discovers hints that point to the true goals of his uncle Edwarn and the shadowy organization known as The Set.
Mistborn: The Bands of Mourning Audiobook Review
Mistborn The Bands of Mourning Audiobook
I originally purchased Bands of Mourning thinking that it was going to be the big finale for the 2nd Era in the Mistborn Audiobook Saga, and spent the entire audiobook wondering how Sanderson was going to top the big reveal in the second audiobook. I won’t spoil either surprise, but just when you think you start to understand all the possible tangents of Allomantic and Feruchemical powers, Sanderson drops in a characteristic twist that you never saw coming! The biggest announcement of all comes at the end when you find that there is going to be a fourth audiobook in the series, The Lost Metal, coming out sometime after the next Stormlight audiobook wraps up.
This audiobook continues to flesh out the history of Wax, and why he chose to escape out to the Roughs. It starts with an interesting insight into his childhood, and provides insight into the strained relationship he has with his Terris heritage. Throughout the rest of the story, you begin to learn more about his history with his sister, all while maintaining a breakneck pace into one conundrum after another, in ways only Wax and Wayne could find themselves falling into.
I loved the additional characters and the realizations that they bring with them near the end of the audiobook. You can see where Sanderson was laying some marvelous groundwork for the next audiobooks, and I can’t wait to see how far the story will expanding now with whole new worlds coming into the mix.

Mistborn: Shadows of Self Audiobook shows Mistborn’s society evolving as technology and magic mix, the economy grows, democracy contends with corruption, and religion becomes a growing cultural force, with four faiths competing for converts.
This bustling, optimistic, but still shaky society now faces its first instance of terrorism, crimes intended to stir up labor strife and religious conflict. Wax and Wayne, assisted by the lovely, brilliant Marasi, must unravel the conspiracy before civil strife stops Scadrial’s progress in its tracks.

Mistborn Shadows of Self Audiobook free download
Three hundred years after the events of the Mistborn Audiobook trilogy, Scadrial is now on the verge of modernity, with railroads to supplement the canals, electric lighting in the streets and the homes of the wealthy, and the first steel-framed skyscrapers racing for the clouds.
When family obligations forced Waxillium Ladrian to forsake the frontier lands and return to the metropolis of his birth to take his place as head of a noble House, he little imagined that the crime-fighting skills acquired during twenty years in the dusty plains would be just as applicable in the big city. He soon learned that there too, just being a talented Twinborn ― one who can use both Allomancy and Feruchemy, the dominant magical modes on Scadrial ― would not suffice.
This bustling, optimistic, but still shaky society will now face its first test by terrorism and assassination, crimes intended to stir up labor strife and religious conflict. Wax, his eccentric sidekick Wayne, and brilliant, beautiful young Marasi, now officially part of the constabulary, must unravel the conspiracy before civil strife can stop Scadrial’s progress in its tracks.
Mistborn: Shadows of Self Audiobook Review
Mistborn Shadows of Self Audiobook characters
I enjoyed Alloy of Law Audiobook, but I never felt it was as epic as the original trilogy. It’s tremendously fun, and the Vanishers needed to be vanquished, but it didn’t feel like it had the same scale and consequences.
Mistborn: Shadows of Self Audiobook changes that. I am now listinging to follow Wax on the journey I don’t think any of us saw coming. Socioeconomic trouble is brewing in Elendel, because apparently, even a god designed paradise can’t last forever. Wax and Wayne at hot the trail, and Marasi is definitely in the mix, now serving as part of the constabulary.
At the heart, I feel this is a story about characters, they’re coping with fantastic situations, but I really care and question these folks. Wax I on the hunt, and will do anything it takes to end this conflict. Wayne continues to delight with his wit and unique perspective on the world. Marasi must navigate what is lawful versus what is right, because once a pattern is seen, it cannot be unseen. Despite the world-shattering situations, this book feels very personal – because it is.
Every single soul has a chance to make a difference, for Preservation or Ruin.
Readers of previous Mistborn Audiobook will delight as this audiobook continues to tie into the history and mythos of the world, expanding without retreading the same themes. Sanderson continues to deliver extra, this story including some excerpts from the broadsheets giving more flavor to this new era Scadrial. Sanderson is a master storyteller, laying the ground work for the most poignant and dark reveals, while still making the read a fun ride you do not want to put down.

Fresh from the success of The Way of Kings Audiobook, Brandon Sanderson, best known for completing Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time Audiobook, takes a break to return to the world of the best-selling Mistborn Audiobook series.
The Mistborn Audiobook trilogy has become a firm favorite with fantasy fans the world over. The imagination that Sanderson brought to the series and his skill at marshaling epic storylines and dramatic action, plus his ability to create vivid characters, made him a natural choice to complete Robert Jordan’s epic Wheel of Time sequence. But with Mistborn, his stand-alone fantasies, and his new series, The Stormlight Archive, Sanderson has shown his bountiful talents in his own fiction.
Now he returns to the series that made his name with a new story set years after the events of Hero of Ages Audiobook.
Introduce to Mistborn: The Alloy of Law Audiobook
Mistborn: The Alloy of Law Audiobook free is a high fantasy audiobook written by American author Brandon Sanderson. It was published on November 8, 2011 by Tor Books and is the first book in the Mistborn: Wax and Wayne Audiobook series and fourth in the Mistborn Audiobook series.
The Alloy of Law Audiobook is preceded by The Hero of Ages Audiobook from the Mistborn Original Trilogy in 2008 and followed by Shadows of Self Audiobook in 2015.
The story features Twinborns, Metalborns who are able to use Allomancy and Feruchemy in conjunction; and abilities not present in the original trilogy.
In a world recovering only slowly from evil, a world where allomancers wield immense power through their ability to unleash the magic bound up in common metals, someone who can burn metals that no-one has burned before can tip the balance….
Sanderson has the knack of giving epic fantasy listeners exactly what they want. This ability has thrown him to the forefront of the genre and the dramatic story within The Alloy of Law shows off this skill to its very best.
Plot
Mistborn The Alloy of Law Audiobook charaters
Three hundred years after the events of the Mistborn trilogy, Scadrial is now on the verge of modernity, with railroads to supplement the canals, electric lighting in the streets and the homes of the wealthy, and the first steel-framed skyscrapers racing for the clouds.
Kelsier, Vin, Elend, Sazed, Spook, and the rest are now part of history—or religion. Yet even as science and technology are reaching new heights, the old magics of Allomancy and Feruchemy continue to play a role in this reborn world. Out in the frontier lands known as the Roughs, they are crucial tools for the brave men and women attempting to establish order and justice.
One such is Waxillium Ladrian, a rare Twinborn, who can Push on metals with his Allomancy and use Feruchemy to become lighter or heavier at will. After twenty years in the Roughs, Wax has been forced by family tragedy to return to the metropolis of Elendel. Now he must reluctantly put away his guns and assume the duties and dignity incumbent upon the head of a noble house. Or so he thinks, until he learns the hard way that the mansions and elegant tree-lined streets of the city can be even more dangerous than the dusty plains of the Roughs.

I love fantasy stories, but when I tried reading the Mistborn series I just could not get into the first book. Then I decided to give it a listen instead. I loved the series and immediately upon finishing it scooped up Alloy. I was not disappointed, but now I am seriously hoping that there will be more of Wax and Wayne (I am not kidding, the main characters are really called Wax & Wayne, even worse it took me a while to catch on).
Mistborn: The Alloy of Law Audiobook free picks up 3 centuries after the last audiobook in the Mistborn Audiobook trilogy and the characters that I came to love in that series make appearances in the history of the city of Elendel. Wax (descendant of Breeze) has resigned himself to giving up his life as a lawman in the Roughs (think wild west) to come back to Elendel (think NYC). Trains are becoming ever more useful, ‘horseless carriages” can be seen motoring to and fro and some of the affluent are even getting electric lights in their homes. I do not want to give a lot away, but Wax is a gunslinger and he is twinborn (allomancer and feruchemist), Wayne prefers dueling canes and is also twinborn and Marasi is a young lady allomancer studying law, and Wax & Wayne’s exploits, at University. Together the three become embroiled in the mystery of a series of train robberies conducted by the Vanishers, who make a mysterious train engine appear on the tracks, steel the valuable cargo, rob the passengers and take a hostage, all without leaving a trace, and all in a matter of minutes.
If you like fantasy and mystery this audiobook is for you.
Narrator
Michael Kramer narrated the Mistborn Audiobook trilogy as well as Mistborn: The Alloy of Law Audiobook and did a fabulous job. He can do a variety of voices and his female characters are quite believable. I believe that he ties with Stephen Weber as my favorite audio book narrator; unless Morgan Freeman narrates audio books too.

This is not a review; this is a story. A story about a renewed man who closed the last page on The Hero of Ages as a different person from the one who first picked up the book. A story about me, rising out of the mist a better man.
“I am, unfortunately, the Hero of Ages.”

I finally got to find out all of the mysteries behind the mysteries in the Audiobook. I loved how Spook’s character grew so much in this Audiobook, although some of it wasn’t from a good place. But sometimes you have to go to a bad place to get to a good place. I fell in love with his character a lot in Mistborn: The Hero of Ages Audiobook.
I got to find out more about TenSoon and the Kandra. I loved learning about that, although I wanted to vaporize some of them. TenSoon won my heart in the second book, but more so in this book.
I still love Sazed and he had such an important part in all the audiobooks. I’m so happy for his ending in Mistborn: The Hero of Ages Audiobook.
That’s all, short and sweet. I love Brandon Sanderson, even though he breaks my heart!

They did the impossible, deposing the godlike being whose brutal rule had lasted a thousand years. Now Vin, the street urchin who has grown into the most powerful Mistborn in the land, and Elend Venture, the idealistic young nobleman who loves her, must build a healthy new society in the ashes of an empire.
They have barely begun when three separate armies attack. As the siege tightens, an ancient legend seems to offer a glimmer of hope. But even if it really exists, no one knows where to find the Well of Ascension or what manner of power it bestows.
It may just be that killing the Lord Ruler was the easy part. Surviving the aftermath of his fall is going to be the real challenge.

Mistborn: The Well of Ascension Audiobook free is a fantasy audiobook written by American author Brandon Sanderson. It was published on August 21, 2007 by Tor Books and is the second Audiobook in the Mistborn trilogy. It is preceded by The Final Empire Audiobook and followed by The Hero of Ages Audiobook.
Plot
The impossible has been accomplished. The Lord Ruler – the man who claimed to be god incarnate and brutally ruled the world for a thousand years – has been vanquished. But Kelsier, the hero who masterminded that triumph, is dead too, and now the awesome task of building a new world has been left to his young protégé, Vin, the former street urchin who is now the most powerful Mistborn in the land, and to the idealistic young nobleman she loves.
Mistborn – The Well of Ascension Audiobook free
As Kelsier’s protégé and slayer of the Lord Ruler she is now venerated by a budding new religion, a distinction that makes her intensely uncomfortable. Even more worrying, the mists have begun behaving strangely since the Lord Ruler died, and seem to harbor a strange vaporous entity that haunts her.
Stopping assassins may keep Vin’s Mistborn skills sharp, but it’s the least of her problems. Luthadel, the largest city of the former empire, doesn’t run itself, and Vin and the other members of Kelsier’s crew, who lead the revolution, must learn a whole new set of practical and political skills to help. It certainly won’t get easier with three armies – one of them composed of ferocious giants – now vying to conquer the city, and no sign of the Lord Ruler’s hidden cache of atium, the rarest and most powerful allomantic metal.
As the siege of Luthadel tightens, an ancient legend seems to offer a glimmer of hope. But even if it really exists, no one knows where to find the Well of Ascension or what manner of power it bestows.

I can’t handle how amazing this audiobook series is. Brandon Sanderson continues to overwhelm me with his impressive storytelling skills. Just like in The Final Empire Audiobook, the world and the characters and the story were all beyond fantastic. There must be some kind of sorcery involved in how this man weaves together plot threads, because really.
I can’t say much more without spoilers, but if you have not yet listen to Mistborn: The Well of Ascension Audiobook free, LISTEN TO IT. SERIOUSLY. LISTEN TO IT.

Brandon Sanderson, fantasy’s newest master tale spinner, author of the acclaimed debut Elantris, dares to turn a genre on its head by asking a simple question: What if the hero of prophecy fails? What kind of world results when the Dark Lord is in charge?
The answer will be found in The Final Empire Audiobook, an audiobook of surprises and magical martial-arts action that begins in Mistborn.
Introduce
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Brandon Sanderson, The Final Empire Audiobook, also known simply as Mistborn Audiobook or Mistborn: The Final Empire Audiobook is the first audiobook in the Mistborn Audiobook series.
Sanderson began work on the novel while trying to get his earlier novel Elantris published. After writing two early iterations, he shifted his focus to his The Stormlight Archive Audiobook series, but chose to delay its publication in favor of completing the Mistborn series, as he thought it would serve as a better followup to Elantris
Plot
The main character in The Final Empire Audiobook is Vin, a 16-year-old thief on the streets of Luthadel, the capital city of the Final Empire.
Mistborn – The Final Empire Audiobook free
The story follows her life as she comes into her own as one of the Mistborn, people who can use ingested metal particles to enhance their abilities, both mental and physical. She begins on a journey to find out who she really is as she fights against the Final Empire and overthrowing the Lord Ruler. With her help, along with the “crew”, Kelsier, Vin’s mentor, plans to lead a revolution and save the world at the same time.
You can’t miss The Final Empire Audiobook
Just as I expected, this audiobook was FANTASTIC. The story, the characters, the world, the magic system – I loved it all! It was a wonderful first audiobook in a series – satisfying on its own, yet there’s still plenty to explore in future audiobooks.
The Final Empire Audiobook free download
Really, the only somewhat negative thing I have to say is regarding all the hype. While I definitely think the praise is deserved, it did leave me with very very high expectations. Expectations that were met, but because I was anticipating awesomeness, it didn’t blow me away as much as it could have. But again, this is a very minor gripe, and more about my reading experience than the actual audiobook itself.
I’ll just say again, I LOVED IT. The story was beautifully constructed, the world was rich and believable, and the characters were likable and well developed. I can’t wait to continue the Mistborn Audiobook series and see where it goes next!

Nobody does it better,
Makes me forget all the rest,
Nobody does it half as good as you,
Baby you’re the best.
When defence lawyer Mickey Haller is invited by the Los Angeles County District Attorney to prosecute a case for him, he knows something strange is going on.
Mickey’s one of the best American legal brains in the business, and to switch sides likes this would be akin to asking a fox to guard the hen-house. But the high-profile case of Jason Jessup, a convicted child killer who spent almost 25 years on death row before DNA evidence freed him, is an intriguing one . . .
Introduce to The Reversal Audiobook free
The Reversal Audiobook free is the 22nd audiobook by American author Michael Connelly and features the third major appearance of Los Angeles criminal defense attorney Michael “Mickey” Haller.
Connelly introduced Haller in his bestselling 2005 audiobook The Lincoln Lawyer and then paired him with LAPD detective Harry Bosch, his half-brother, in 2008’s The Brass Verdict Audiobook.
Plot of The Reversal Audiobook
Longtime defense attorney Mickey Haller is recruited to change stripes and prosecute the high-profile retrial of brutal child murder. After 24 years in prison, convicted killer Jason Jessup has been exonerated by new DNA evidence. Haller is convinced Jessup is guilty, and he takes the case on the condition that he gets to choose his investigator, LAPD Detective Harry Bosch.
Together, Bosch and Haller set off on a case fraught with political and personal danger. Opposing them is Jessup, now out on bail, a defense attorney who excels at manipulating the media, and a runaway eyewitness reluctant to testify after so many years.
With the odds and the evidence against them, Bosch and Haller must nail a sadistic killer once and for all. If Bosch is sure of anything, it is that Jason Jessup plans to kill again.
The Reversal Audiobook Review
The Reversal Audiobook free
I like reading a series of books with one main character. I get to know them. I have therefore read all of Michael Connelly’s books centered on Detective Bosch. Because I finished all of them I tried other authors with less success and then returned to read some of of his other books of Conelly’s centering on other characters. I like Bosch the best (when he was active in the police department), the Lawyer Haller was good, and the the reporter was McElroy was also ok.
The Reversal Audiobook however, which is really about the lawyer Haller is the best of all because it engages several of the characters I have come to know. Haller is the focus of the book of course, but Bosch has a major roll and the FBI profiler makes a major contribution.
The Reversal Audiobook was detailed enough in its story that you knew what was happening and it felt possible, it had sufficient character interactions and development to hold interest beyond the story, and the story ended with the unexpected. My favorite of his audiobooks so far.
